My fascination with the sea started when I was a child, growing up not far from the vibrant shores of Kinsale, located at the start of the Wild Atlantic Way. The ebb and flow of the tides, the ever-changing hues of the water, and the dance of light on the waves captivated my imagination. This deep connection with the sea has shaped not only my art but also who I am.

At seventeen, I took up a brush, and all these years later, it remains a significant part of my life. My journey began in London and extended through the Channel Islands and France, where I gained invaluable experience working for various design houses. These experiences enriched my artistic vision and refined my skills, paving the way for my future endeavors.

Returning to Ireland, I spent the next 30 years as a decorative artist, working on a wide range of commercial projects. Throughout this period, I also created large canvas paintings for numerous private clients, continuously evolving my craft and deepening my artistic expression.

While living near the lighthouse at the Old Head of Kinsale, I became even more captivated by the beauty surrounding me—the winter winds, stormy seas, and the wild feel of the landscape. This environment became an integral part of my life. Surfing, cruising through the beautiful waters off the coast of West Cork, and diving with my children were cherished activities. Our old Land Rover, often loaded with surfboards and my son's friends, was a testament to our adventures. Through it all, the sea has always been a part of me.

My expressionist seascapes are a vivid portrayal of the sea’s many moods—from the serene calm of dawn to the turbulent storms of the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Cork. Each painting is a testament to my love of blending reality with imagination, inviting you to embark on your own journey through the waves.

At the core of my work is a desire to connect with others who share my love for the sea and the raw beauty of the Atlantic Ocean and the Irish coastline.
